Ranch Wire TV - CSU Legends of Ranching Horse Sale

A message from our Director regarding the 2023 LOR events:

Due to the various new faculty and administrative hires we must pursue, and the limited time we have to recruit, hire, and onboard those new employees, we have decided to pause the program for one year.

While we were able to orchestrate an amazing experiential opportunity for our students this year, we have begun the search for several coordinating positions to ensure a successful program into the future. The Equine Sciences Program will work diligently to recruit talented faculty to support our science and business-based curriculum. This brief sabbatical for the 2022-23 school year will allow our team to evaluate all aspects of the program including the safety and wellbeing of our students and a professionally run sales, marketing, and event planning program.

All Best Wishes,

Craig Huffhines

Director of Equine Sciences

History of the Legends of Ranching Performance Horse Sale

Thank you to everyone who participated in the 2022 Legends of Ranching Performance Horse Sale. We would like to thank our consignors, buyers, sponsors, faculty, staff, students & volunteers who all made it possible.

We had a record-breaking sale and couldn’t have done it without everyone’s commitment and teamwork. We are proud to report that this year’s event produced several record-breaking sales including our highest selling aged  horse ever and the highest selling young horse within the past 10 years. Our averages for both young & aged horses broke records as well!

As always, our main goal with this program is to provide excellent hands-on experiences to our students, allowing them the opportunity to take part in a top notch equine industry event. Of course we could not do it without the generous and unwavering support of our consignors and sponsors! Thank you to all who were involved in the production of this year’s event. We look forward to seeing you all in 2024!
