Dr. Caiti Peters first became a research assistant for the Temple Grandin Equine Center (TGEC) in 2013 while completing her Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy at Colorado State University. After completing her Ph.D. and postdoctoral fellowship at TGEC, Dr. Peters was hired in 2021 as an assistant professor to direct TGEC’s research efforts. Her research focuses on the scientific development of equine-assisted services broadly, with a particular emphasis on occupational therapy integrating horses for youth with autism. She believes that horses offer powerful contributions to the therapeutic process for children and adults with a variety of conditions.
