Dr. Caiti Peters first became a research assistant for the Temple Grandin Equine Center in 2013 while completing her Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy at Colorado State University. Since then, her career has focused on the scientific and theoretical development of equine-assisted activities and therapies for children with autism spectrum disorder. In 2018 Caiti became a postdoctoral fellow for the Temple Grandin Equine Center, and received a grant from the Horses and Humans Research Foundation to investigate the feasibility of a manualized equine-assisted occupational therapy intervention for children with autism. She believes that horses offer powerful contributions to the therapeutic process for children and adults with a variety of conditions.
